About the artwork:
In his series “Dualita,” the artist AVENZANO brings two opposing languages together on one canvas: bold, freehand black-and-white brushstrokes and soft, luminous color gradients. At the center of the series is the duality of things: as different as texture and colour may be, they fit together here so perfectly. Each stands autonomous and strong on its own. Yet only together does the balance emerge that sustains the work. Painted on raw, untreated cotton canvas, the texture of the material remains visible and gives each piece its unmistakable character.
About the artist:
AVENZANO is a professional painter. He lives and works in his studio in Germany. Shaped by the elegance of Italian design, the rawness of Brazilian Brutalism, and the clarity of contemporary Minimalism, his works are distinguished by strong graphic elements and a natural, earthy color palette. His oeuvre is defined as much by what he brings to the canvas as by what he leaves out. Central to his work is the aesthetic concept of Wabi-Sabi: the belief that beauty lies not in perfection, but in imperfection, irregularity, and authenticity.
