Steve Rostron is an exciting contemporary artist and painter who brings semi-abstract landscapes to life! inspiration from the stunning Ribble Valley in Lancashire, his work radiates moody, energy and powerful emotion.

 

For Steve, the landscape is not just a view—it's a vibrant thinking space and a serene place for meditation. Since relocating to Lancashire in 2009 and settling in the charming village of Sabden, Steve's art has taken on new dimensions. Living beneath the iconic Pendle Hill, a landmark close to his heart, profoundly influences his recent creations.

 

"I don't aim to a scene or a defined image of the landscape; instead, I blend the elements I see to craft a unique interpretation," he shares.

 

This innovative approach has garnered Steve a loyal following, and in 2017, he triumphed at both the Painting Padiham and the prestigious Create Longridge competitions. Judges praised his Create Longridge entry for its joyous palette and stunning composition, beautifully capturing the essence of the landscape!
