Margaret Scobie was born in January 1948 at Woola Downs which is an outstation of Ti Tree, a small community 190km north of Alice Springs. Margaret is a respected elder of her community and is related to many famous Aboriginal artists, such as Gloria Petyarre, Emily Kame Kngwarreye and Ada Bird Petyarre.  

 

Her lyrical brush stroke gives the impression of the bush medicine leaves being moved by the blowing wind.
