Andrea was just awarded British Contemporary Artist 2023.
Working from her studio at Newby Hall in North Yorkshire, Andrea is primarily a landscape artist working in oils with both brush and palette knife. Through her paintings, Andrea aims to tell the stories of the places we live and love through the use of colour, light and shade.

Andrea enjoys wide open spaces, big skies and dramatic landscapes which capture a special quality of light. Inspired by the British countryside, she enjoys painting both andscape and seascape images which capture a sense of time and place. Places that feel familiar and are close to our hearts. Although landscape art is Andrea’s first
love, she also enjoys painting still life compositions.

Working exclusively in oils, Andrea’s work starts with an idea of a place and is layered with memories and imagination to create a snapshot of something evocative, classic and beautiful.
